Notes on the Vassal Module for The Battle of Lobositz The original game uses separate loss markers to keep track of unit step losses. The module builds this into the units themselves. Press Ctrl-DownArrow to reduce the SP value or Ctrl-UpArrow to increase it. Morale is reduced along with the SP value. The module signifies that a unit is at less than full strength by displaying a yellow band on the affected counter. In the published game routed status was represented by flipping a counter to its blank white side. The module implements rout as a "R" flag on the counter itself, toggled by pressing Ctrl-R. The module uses the Vassal Line-of-Sight thread, which is accessible from the LOS button on the toolbar. The location and orientation of charts on the map have been adjusted for convenient use on the screen. In the "Counters Ready for Deployment" scenario, all pieces are initially masked to enable secret deployment. The owning player can see the identity of a unit by selecting it. Pressing Ctrl-M unmasks a piece and makes it visible normally to both players. I have included blank red, green, and blue markers for you to use as you please. UNIT COMMAND MENU * Gain SP (Ctrl-UpArrow) and Lose SP (Ctrl-DownArrow) - Adjust the unit's current Strength Point value. * Mask (Ctrl-M) - Mask or unmask the unit. Only the owning player has access to this command. * Routed (Ctrl-R) - Toggle an "R" flag to indicate routed status. * Send to Dead Pile (Ctrl-S) - Send the unit to the appropriate dead pile above the map. * Movement Trail (Ctrl-T) - Remove the movement trail. * Delete (Ctrl-X) - Delete the unit.
