A 1d8 is used at the beginning of the game to determine which player gets which pieces.
Players alternately roll the die to choose pieces.  If a piece has already been allocated, keep rolling
the die until a new piece is rolled.

A layout of the Dejarik board with named board squares is shown in the rulebook on page 14.
