- An un-Finished CO/2IC unit can add its bonus if target is within range (mark as Finished)
- +1AV for white FP unit firing at targets up to ½ range
- -2AV for white FP unit firing at targets at long range
- -2AV if firing on the move
- +1AV if Group Fire and assisting unit is infantry
- +2AV if Group Fire and assisting unit is an AFV
- +1AV if APC is attacking and it is carrying an un-Shaken infantry unit
- +1AV if unit is hovering
Calculate Defense Total
DV = Armor value
- + terrain and sandbag DV bonuses
- +1DV if in Hill edge hex and attack is from ground level
- +1DV if in concealing terrain (not in LOS of enemy Recon unit, not marked Finished, not had an enemy unit move into an adjacent hex)
Determine Hits
Number of hits = AV – DV
Effect on full-strength unit:
- 1 hit: unit is Shaken
- 2 hits: unit is Shaken and reduced
- 3 hits: unit is eliminated (leave Weapons behind in hex)
Assault
Attackers
- An un-Finished CO/2IC unit can add its bonus if assaulted hex is within range (mark as Finished)
- +2AV for assaulting
- +1AV if a group assault and supporting unit is infantry
- +2AV if a group assault and supporting unit is AFV
- +2AV if AFV-only force is assaulting infantry-only force in Clear (no-cover) hex
- +2AV if infantry-only force is assaulting AFV-only force in Urban hex
Defenders
- An un-Finished CO/2IC unit can add its bonus if assaulted hex is within range (mark as Finished)
- + terrain and sandbag DV bonuses
- No concealment bonus against assault
- +1DV if a group is assaulted and assisting defending unit is infantry
- +2DV if a group is assaulted and assisting defending unit is an AFV
- Shaken units and SPAs cannot assist
- All assaulting units marked as Finished
- If assaulted unit is not eliminated, then all attackers become Shaken and must retreat back
- If assaulted unit is eliminated, attackers remain in the hex and defenders becomes Shaken and must retreat
- No Op Fire allowed against assaulting units
