BLITZ
Perform a block as part of a move action when on defense

BLOCK +1
Additional +1 bonus when blocking.

BLOCK PARTY
When you roll a 10+ if you perform a block with this free action get +2 on that block of any sort.

CATCH
You can pull the target receivers card off the bench to get bench boost

DIVING TACKLE
Perform a tackle as part of a move action. If you fail you are knocked down.

DODGE
When a player tries to block or tackle you, you can pull the player being blocked or tackled card of the bench to produce a -1 to the opposing player

INTERCEPTOR
Player on defense is threatening the target of an unsuccessful throw instead of scattering the ball the defense of player makes a sport check to intercept the ball

JUKE
Part of a move action. The player performing the juke must be in possession of the football. When performing this action having a higher number gives you bonuses. Treat the action like a block

LOCKDOWN
Players leaving a square threatened by a player with lock down are treated as having the football when calculating movement penalties.

MAN DEFENDER
When a defense player is threating a target wide receiver the offense gets -3 penalties

PITCH
Handoff to a player 3 squares away. Roll a sport check to see if you made the pitch. The ball can be pitched in any direction. If you pitch it forward and fail the sport check you scatter the ball treating like a pass. If you pitch it in any other direction scatter it like a fumble

OPTION
allows a player to pitch the ball in reaction to a defender threatening him.

POCKET PASSER
After the last of the five cards from the initial play a pocket passer gains a +2 bonus as long as the ball was snapped to this player and the player has not moved by an activation. If he was moved by a block he would still have this ability.

QB READ
You may do a read and react without the defense performing one first. The player with this ability must have the football and you have to pull his card from the bench to activate this ability.

RUN BLOCK
Allows you to perform a block as part of a move action when on offense. You can also use this when the player with this ability has the ball.

ROUTE PASSER
You get a +1 bonus when throwing to an open square instead of a player.

SCREEN PASSER
You get a +1 if your target of the pass is behind the line of scrimmage.

SHAKE
Part of a move action. The player performing the juke must NOT be in possession of the football. When performing this action having a higher number gives you bonuses. Treat the action like a block

SHOVE
Block a player 2 squares straight back. If the opposing play cannot move 2 squares he is knocked down. If you fail the skill check the opposing player may block you back 2 squares. You may follow up in the 2 squares you pushed the opposing player.

SIDELINER
On offense when moving adjacent to the sideline the player: Completely ignores threat from opposing players if he doesn’t have the ball, when you have the ball you move by players as if you do not have the ball, and the lockdown skill has no effect on a player that is actively benefitting

SPIN MOVE
When a player tries to tackle you, he rolls a playmaker die. If the playmaker die matches one of the skill check dice it negates the result of that die. If it matches and the skill check is a failure, you may swap places with the person trying to tackle you. If the playmaker dice matches both skill check dice then the player trying to tackle you is knocked down.

SQUEEZE PLAY
You may move diagonal when players are on both sides of it.

STIFF ARM
When a player tries to tackle you, he rolls a playmaker die. If the playmaker die matches one of the skill check dice it negates the result of that die. If it matches and the skill check is a failure, then player trying to tackle is then knocked down.

TACKLE +1
get a +1 when tackling.

TEAM PLAYER
When players with this skill provide teamwork they give +2 or -2 instead of +1 or -1

ZONE DEFENDER
Defenders are considered as threatening any square / players that are a target of a pass that is within 3 spaces. The spaces are counted like normal measurements.
