Pax Pamir 2nd edition

Changing the JVM maximum heap settings in Vassal Preferences to 1024 Mb is probably a good idea.

This button takes a screenshot of the window.

This button zooms out.

The "events in effect" area is for events that have an ongoing effect.

The "seating arrangement" area indicates player order and first player.

The coalition blocks switch between army and road depending on where they are placed. Right-clicking a block and selecting Return removes it from the board.

The region symbols on the map can be right-clicked to place a tribe from your board (or Wakhan's).

Rule is automatically calculated and indicated by coloured ruler tokens. No rule is indicated by the absence of a ruler token. This replaces the method for indicating rule described in the rules, and the module does not feature moveable ruler tokens.

Right-clicking a rupee allows selection of Take, to send it to your window (or Wakhan's), or Return, to send it to the Bank.

Player windows

This button shifts all court cards and spies left of an empty space one space to the right. This button has no effect if Court1 and Court2 are empty.

Cards and rupees in player windows form stacks if placed or sent to the same location. Cards/rupees in a stack move together. To unstack and splay cards/rupees, double-click the stack. Individual cards/rupees can then be selected for drag and drop movement.

Right-click a loyalty dial to select starting loyalty. Selecting "Wakhan" replaces the dial with a three-colour Wakhan dial that invisibly follows pragmatic loyalty. Playing a Patriot or taking a Prize of different loyalty changes your loyalty, discarding other Patriots and Prizes and returning Gifts.

The colour of adjacent courts is indicated by triangles to the left and right of the player board.

The Court area highlighting defines which spies are returned when a court card is discarded or taken as a prize, so ignoring the highlighting when placing court cards may cause the wrong spies to return or remain.

Wakhan window

The Wakhan window has two decks. The left deck is shuffled during setup, and cards can be dragged from the left deck to the right. Right-clicking the right deck and selecting Return sends all the cards back to the left deck. Right-click the left deck to reshuffle.

Cards

Right-clicking cards provides a variety of context-sensitive options:

Pashtunwali Values in the "events in effect" area suppresses further movement of the suit marker until discarded.
