Macro Game Flow
  1. Setup
    1. If you are the game host, click the "RPS Result" button in the toolbar: The status text box will report whether you won the RPS, or your opponent won the RPS (in electric-pink text, as "*** RPS Result = [You/Opponent] won ***").
    2. Whichever player won the RPS is designated as Player 1 (the other is Player 2) for the purposes of this outline.
    3. Determine which player controls the Kingdom of Frost. The other player controls the Kindgom of Flaym. (If playing without the addtion of Battle Arts, the differences in the two kingdoms is purely cosmetic.)
    4. Determine who will command the top half of the Battlefield. The other player commands the bottom half of the Battlefield.

  2. Scouting Terrain
    1. Choose up to 9 Terrain and place them into any unoccupied Zone within the first 3 rows on your side of the Battlefield.
    2. You can choose any combination of Terrain that you desire.
    3. Your opponent must also choose up to 9 Terrain and place them into any unoccupied Zone within the first 3 rows on his side of the Battlefield.

  3. Establish Outposts
    1. Place both of your Outposts onto any of the Battlefield Zones that are situated in the 3 rows on your side of the Battlefield.
    2. You can only place 1 Outpost per valid Zone.
    3. You may place an Outpost onto a Zone with Terrain.
    4. Your opponent must also place his Outposts, and can do so simultaneously as you do so, into the valid Zones within the 3 rows on his side of the Battlefield.

  4. Army Recruiting
    1. Build your Army by setting the Arms of each Battalion.
    2. The sum of all your Battalions' Arms combined cannot exceed 21. (You do not have to change the default buildout, if you are happy with it. Note that the default Arms 1-6 buildout also adheres to the max 21 rule.)

  5. Deployment
    1. Take turns Deploying 1 Battalion at a time onto the Battlefield.
    2. Player 1 Deploys the first Battalion.
    3. You may Deploy a Battalion into any of the first 3 rows on your side of the Battlefield.
    4. Or, you may Deploy a Battalion onto the top of any of your own Battalions that was previously Deployed. (There is no limit as to how many Battalions you can stack in this manner.)
    5. Or, you may Deploy a Battalion onto the top of any of your own Outposts.
    6. Upon Deployment, you may Face the Battalion in any one of the four directions.
    7. Once both you and your opponent have Deployed all 6 Battalions in your Armies, the Battle begins...

  6. Battle (core game loop)
    1. Player 1 chooses who will take the first turn in Battle.
    2. [core game loop start]
    3. Players alternate taking one turn at a time, according to the rules outlined in the "Turn Flow" player aid.
    4. Check for Victory Conditions at the end of each turn.
    5. If either or both players satisfies a Victory Condition, then...
    6. [core game loop end]
    7. A Victor is declared!
