Cards Help
This module was designed to be a single file to play either a basic, legacy, or coloninzation game.
The Cards extensions contains resources for multiple parts of the High frontier module. It includes the Patent decks, player mats and card tables,
legacy polotics, colonization polotics & event marker, the Intersteller solitare map, AND a notes panel.
Setup:
When creating a game, you can create a basic, legacy, or colonization game from the file menu: setup. Instead you can choose a new game and modify setup as needed. Below are a few details on setup if youc choose a new game.
BASIC GAME
When playing the basic game, remove the 'Metastable Helium' thruster from the thruster deck. At that point, players can ignore the Support, Colonization, Event/Politics tables.
ADVANCED GAME
When playing the advanced game, players should be able to just ignore the Colonization tables and play with the Patent and Support decks.
SETUP: Remove the following cards
- Radiator: Xray Hard Superconductor
- Radiator: Magneto-caloric Refrigerator
- Generator: Marx Capacitor Bank
- Generator: Catalyzed Fission Scintillator
COLONIZATION BETA TESTING
At this point, all colonization cards/decks are in play testing. So please follow typical play test considerations. Keep in mind that the final version will continue to be different.
SETUP: Remove the following cards
- Thruster: Metastable Helium Thruster (Basic Thruster, not the Gigawatt Thruster)
Other Setup notes:
In additional to card setups, check these following details with reference to the living rules you are playing.
- Busted Planets: if less than 5 players, Luna is busted.
- (Colonization) place bernals on map board, and crew/bernal cards in appropriate player matt location.
- Turn track: right click turn trick to set correct number of players and turn setup. (Colonization doesn't use the move then operation structure.)
