Trade Fair
[G] Perform either an eastern or western trade fair. Follow these steps:
- Add 1 florin (2 players) or 2 florins (3 or 4 players0 to the face down east or west market card.
Take 1 florin for yourself.
- Trace an east or west path from the starting emporium to its end or until the money runs out.
Drop off a coin with every concession you encounter. The concession's owner gets the money.
- Re-trace the path, but this time place a levy in every empire that the path passes through.
A levy is a rook or bishop from the pool. It must go on an empty city on the map card, and it must match
the color and chess piece type that is pictured. Skip this map card if no proper chess piece or empty city is available.
- Discard the east or west face down card, which you just used. If you have coins left over, put them
on the empty space you just created. They will go on the new face down market card.
As you trace the route, drop a coin next to each concession along the path. Players can take
theirs (a right click command) when it's their turn. Then raise levies by dragging and dropping
chess pieces and putting them on map cards. When finished, right click the trade fair card to discard it.
