Starting a game

In this module exist no predefinied scenarios as it is known from other vassal modules.

To start a new game, choose the New Game menu entry in the File menu. After side selection a window will apear, where you can choose the desired scenario.
The Initiative DRM marker starts for all scenarios on German +2. The US player has everytime the first activation.

Pieces/Units

Most of the pieces I’ve built into the module have right click menus available. The options on these menus, I believe, are self explanatory. So I won’t go into further detail.

When a unit isn't at its full strength it is marked with letter "R".
Some units can be assigned to other formation, primarly the indipendent ones. You would also use ^L to denote units designation to see at first glance which units changed their original echelons.
Units can be deleted with ^X. To prevent mishaps this hotkey only works on maps other than the main map. But I think that isn't necessary to use it. The scenario-selection will make all settings automaticly.

Unit states like Out of Command, Isolated, Improved Defence etc. can be marked with the menu entries of the right-click-menu of each unit.

VP locations

In the scenarios 1 to 3 victory point locations are marked with red outline hex borders.
They will be invisible at star of a new scenario. To show/hide them click on "Show VP locations" in the menu bar.
You may select each outline by clicking on it while holding left Meta (Alt on PCs) key. You can then flip it to US side (with ^F).
In the module is an inventory button, automatically summing up VP from locations currently held by US.

Specially Designed Pieces/Marker

Schlachtenglück/SNAFU: The marker can't be moved, only selected. There are only the option to use it. If it is used, it will be placed for the other player on his side.
Formation Activation Markers/Formation HQs: This both piece types have the option, to highlight the entire formation units, including the assigned indipendend units to this formation.
Victory Plan Markers: The US player is the only one who has acces to this markers and can handle it.
Combat Markers: There is marker palette for this marker. You would use blank marker to denote base odds, DRMs and combat results. In case of results you may want to use "Rx / By" notation, where "Rx" stands for red x result, "By" for black y. Example "B0 / R2" means 0 losses for attacker, no check required, two losess for defender, efficiency check required. Use ^L to change label of blank marker.
