Disclaimer:
This is an update to Dangulica's module, which is in turn a module using the structure and artwork of mkiefte's excellent rule-enforcing module, so credits go to them and to GMT Games as well.
NOTE:
This module is designed only for play by e-mail (PBEM) using ACTS (http://acts.warhorsesim.com/) or a similar service for cards play and dice rolls and Vassal for board tracking. If you cannot or will not use ACTS (or similar) then this module will be fairly useless.
Any bugs or problems should be reported to me and I will update the module as soon as I can.
How to play this module:
-
Influence can be changed by using the right-click menu on the Influence markers, or by selecting a marker and pressing either the UP or DOWN arrow. If there is no marker, click on the empty space where the marker will be. Counters will flip automatically to show control.
-
The Action Round marker can be advanced by using the right-click menu or by pressing the LEFT or RIGHT arrows. Right-click headline to reset.
-
The DEFCON, Military Operations, Turn, Space Race and VP's markers can be manipulated by using the right-click menu, by selecting them with the mouse and pressing keyboard shortcuts, or by drag & drop. Note that the Space Race and Military Ops markers start "stacked", and must be double-clicked to separate them out for individual movement. Moving the turn marker to turn 4 or turn 8 will add the appropriate cards to the draw deck.
-
DEFCON restriction markers are automatically placed on or taken off the board as the DEFCON status changes.
-
Region markers indicate presence, domination, and control automatically, but will not reflect card effects like Shuttle Diplomacy and Formosan Resolution.
-
Cards are "played" from the card list accessed from the toolbar, by right-clicking and selecting the appropriate context-sensitive option. When played, cards move directly from the draw deck to the discard or are removed from the game. Shuttle Diplomacy is an exception, and will move to the board when played.
-
Card use tracking is entirely optional, but can be useful to keep track of important information. There is a button on the toolbar that marks all cards in the discard with a symbol and returns the discard to the draw deck. This way players can determine which cards were left in the draw deck before the reshuffle. When this information is no longer relevant, the symbols can be removed by the second button on the toolbar.
-
Event reminder markers will be automatically added to the map if you are tracking card use, though some will have to be manually removed. They can also be manually added and removed from the Events and Markers icon on the toolbar.
-
The decks window can be opened by clicking on the decks icon in the toolbar. The China Card is also kept here.

This module was designed in Vassal version 3.2.15.
