Using the Dungeon Module Created by: Brian Mason (brian448@sbcglobal.net) Overview The Dungeon module lets you play TSR's Dungeon game on your computer. Players may play as one of four different adventurers. Once you enter the module and choose your Player number, you will be presented with the Main Toolbar. This is a series of buttons along the top of the main window that give you access to the different parts of the game. Prepare for Play Open the Board, Cards, Players, and Monsters windows pressing F1, F4, F5, and F6 respectively. In the Players window, change your player icon and the image in the upper left corner to your selected adventurer type by selecting the image and pressing Ctrl C. Move your player icon to the Start space in the middle of the Main board. Cards Window The Cards for the game are accessed from the Cards Window. They are sorted by Monsters, Treasures, and Spells. The Monsters and Treasures are also sorted by Level. Choose a card by selecting one of the piles. The deck is automatically shuffled each time you draw a card. You can flip a card by pressing Ctrl F. Player's Window The Player's Window holds the inventory of the players. Each player's section is bordered by a different color. Player 1 - Red Player 2 - Blue Player 3 - Yellow Player 4 - Green The icon representing each player is also bordered by that player's color. You can change the adventurer type of your icon by selecting it and pressing Ctrl C. Monster's Window The Monster's Window holds the Monster's Inventory. Each time a player enters a Room or Chamber, move the lowest available number icon in the Monster's Window to the Room or Chamber and draw an appropriate monster card. If the monster is killed, drop a Gravestone marker if needed by pressing Ctrl G, return the number icon back to the Monster's Window, and draw a treasure card. If the monster survives the encounter, leave the number icon in the romm and move the Monster Card and whatever treasures the monster is guarding to the appropriate slot on the Monster's Window. Charts Open the Monster Attack Table by pressing F7 on the Main Toolbar. Secret Doors Left click on a Secret door to select it.
