Setting Up a Game
Auto-setup feature
Click the button for the desired player count and the desired ziggurat mode. There is no need to manually move any tiles around in the setup window. If you want a different random setup / ziggurat selection, undo and re-click the button.
Manual setup option
Drag-and-drop 7 ziggurat tiles to the ziggurat icons on the right-hand side of the board. Right-click the 3p and/or 4p stacks of tiles to add them to the main stack. From there, drag-and-drop a city/crop tile to each board location in play.
Ziggurat & player pieces
In the "Pieces" menu, drag the necessary ziggurat pieces and scoring markers to the board. Drag a player mat for each player in the game to the city gate icons on top of the board (make sure they snap-to-grid so as to be centered on the icon).
Facilitating Gameplay
Using the player mats
During play, the player mat area will automatically calculate and display the number of tiles that each player has remaining to play. If a player's tile count ever gets off, there is a right-click accessible "Fix tile count" command to correct it.
As players collect city tiles and/or ziggurat tiles throughout the game, move these to the appropriate area on the player mats (not the player windows). Make sure city and ziggurat tiles stack by drag-and-dropping them carefully to the highlighted area.
When a ziggurat tile is added to a player mat, a copy of that tile is added to the corresponding player's window so that there is both a public and a private reminder of the power available to the player. Both copies of one-time use ziggurats will flip together.
Scoring cities & crops
To count a player's city tiles for scoring (or to review the ziggurat tiles they hold), mouse-over the stacks on their player mat. If the count seems to be incorrect, make sure that all of the city tiles moved to the player mat are in fact "stacked" together.
As players score for crop tiles on the board, move the removed crop tiles to the holding area in the top-right of the board (or right-click to send them there). Tied city tiles may also be moved to the holding area or you can right-click to return them to the "Setup" window.
